| By Megan Stiles|
Index Publishing is proud to announce the completion of our eagerly anticipated 2006 Chicago Zoning Ordinance publication. The 600 page publication includes a comprehensive revision of the zoning ordinance provisions through November of 2006, definitions and interpretations of the new Chicago zoning classifications and a new Aldermen directory. All zoning maps have been recreated to include the new city zoning classifications and a more navigable format. The maps also are being updated to bring them current. The online version of the Chicago Zoning Ordinance at ChicagoCodes.com has also undergone an extensive renovation and includes a user-friendly Geographic Information System (GIS) map format.
All of the online maps and zoning ordinance provisions are regularly updated to guarantee customers the most current product possible. The new GIS zoning map format provides interactive map capabilities, allowing customers to view the map interface at multiple dimensions and scales. GIS navigation is efficient and simple. Tools such as an address locater, aerial photography, various selectable layers, and an easy to follow legend and online support center make finding zoning districts quick and hassle free. A free demo GIS zoning map will be available on our website soon. If you are interested in receiving a notice that the demo map is available for viewing please click here.
