|Stan Kaderbek resigns from the Department of Buildings|
Friday August 19, 2005 will be Kaderbek's last day at City Hall after working for the city for over 12 years. Kaderbek was appointed to the Department of Buildings in April 2004, the same time as former DCAP Executive Director Rafael Hernandez, who also recently resigned.
Kaderbek leaves amid the growing investigation by federal prosecutors into corruption at city hall regarding steering payroll jobs to applicants with political influence and the Hired Truck Program. Kaderbek's decision to leave was reportedly unrelated to the other firings and resignations at City Hall.
Kaderbek will be working for Walsh Construction, one of the top contractors for the city, including the Millennium Park project.
